**Role Description/Criteria**

POSITION PURPOSE

Antonine College is seeking a School Counsellor. An experience with both primary and secondary Catholic settings is an advantage. The role is part-time 2 -3 days a week or can be 5 days a fortnight. Social work, counselling or psychology background will be considered.

The successful applicant is a person suitable to work with children. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to the Catholic ethos of our school and to the Safety and wellbeing of children.

The applicant is required to observe the Care, safety and welfare of students which are embedded in the College policies and procedures.

The successful applicant will also be required to possess current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. Accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic School is an advantage. Graduates are also welcome to apply.
