House Made Hospitality are the creators of Hinchcliff House, a 4-level drinking and dining venue in the Sydney CBD set within a heritage wool store that encompasses Grana, Lana, Bar Mammoni and Level Two. Recently added to their portfolio is also Bar Mammoni, This Way Canteen, The Carrington, Rancho Seltzo and the brand new The Promenade on Bondi Beach.

**About the Role**:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join the management team at The Promenade on Bondi Beach for House Made Hospitality.

The Promenade is located in the old Bondi Pavilion and is a brand new development that highlights the essence of Australian beach culture. Inspired by the textures, colours and sensations of the Pavilion and the natural forms of the coastal landscape around it, The Promenade is a casual, elegant space offering all-day dining from sunrise to sunset and beyond.

The Assistant Venue Manager reports to and assists to Venue Managers in looking after the guests, managing the daily operation of the venue and driving the development of the team.

Responsibilities of this role include:
**General**
- Oversee and manage all areas of the venue and make final decisions on matters of importance for guest and team.
- Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to manage any issues in order to achieve a positive outcome.
- Uphold service standards. Being an exemplary positive member of the team. Delivering consistent service excellence
- Coordinate the weekly rosters & daily team allocations.
- Supervise the daily set up & pack down of the venue. Making certain it is executed in a thorough & timely manner.
- Assist in the selection and induction of new team members.
- Liaise with the Venue Leader on the team’s development and any performance management necessary.
- Coordinate with the Head / Sous Chef the daily food notes and communicate them to the team.
- Hold daily service briefings, coordinating the team and communicating the important information necessary for an excellent service.
- Maintain professional venue image, including venue cleanliness, neat and clean uniforms in accordance to uniform guide, and appearance standards.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance.
- Inspect the venue is ready for service - (keeping stations & bar par levels stocked up & accurate for service everyday, adequate quantity of menus, floor plan correlates to booking system)
- Manage team breaks and timesheets
- Daily cash up and reporting and any reconciliation required to balance the days takings

**Food & Beverage**
- Contribute to & facilitate ongoing food and beverage training of the team.
- Maintain a high quality standard of food and beverage being delivered to the guest.
- Keep food and beverage menus updated, clean, and printed.
- Regularly update food and beverage notes and allergy matrix.
- Check-in with team members to ensure they keep up to date with menu knowledge and frequently tests the team.
- Maintain POS buttons so they correlate with the menu.
- Provide guest’s observations to senior chefs and leaders on any issues relating to food and beverage.

**Financial**
- Drive food and beverage sales through dedicated guest experience and assuring the perfect ticket.
- Managing daily labour costs appropriate to guest ratio..
- Monitoring stock control and transfers.
- Contributing to weekly spot checks and monthly beverage stocktakes.

**About you**

To be eligible for this position, you will need to have:

- Qualifications/Training in Hospitality Management
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Strong business acumen
- A driven and results-focused attitude
- Sound food and beverage knowledge
- Understanding of marketing and financial principles
- Familiarity with hospitality software programs
- Strong leadership, management and motivational skills

Full-Time Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
