**Job description**:
Our client is currently seeking an APS6 Project Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD.
The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is a respectful, collaborative branch. They work with key stakeholders across the Agency to support the implementation of policy and system enhancements, and the development, implementation and promotion of consistent guidance to Planners and Partners in the Community (PiTC).
A large focus for the branch includes the development and review of Our Guidelines.
If you are successful in this position, you will be working on a variety of guidance materials which bring legislation, policy, process and system to life, translating this into guidance for:
- Participants and stakeholders, explaining how we make decisions and how we operate
- Front line Agency and partner staff, to operate and deliver services to participants
You will need to initiate, establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is responsible for developing standards, process, policies and protocols to drive consistency with decision making and service delivery practice.
**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:
- Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex information into clear, easy to understand reports.
- Ability to undertake data and system analysis to gather evidence-based information and provide advice to the branch about opportunities for improvement
- Implementing work plans, setting tasks and priorities and managing workflow.
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
- Ability to work under limited direction, guided by policies, accepted standards and precedents
- Financial acumen is desirable
- ** An understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability is highly desirable.**
This role is at the APS6 level equivalent offering $58.50 per hour + 10.50% super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave.
