**Job description**:
Our client is currently seeking an APS6 Provider Engagement Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD.

The Provider and Market Development Division exists to support the provider market to grow and deliver high-quality support for participants. The Provider Engagement Branch assists in achieving this goal by:

- Working with providers to build and sustain market capacity to respond to participant needs
- Identifying and communicating market trends to identify and, if required, resolve and escalate emerging systemic market matters

**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Being a secondary contact for key providers whilst supporting provider market and provider process.
- Working closely with key stakeholders including State and Local Governments, providers, carers, people with disability and mainstream organisations to address local transition challenges.
- Engaging providers to ensure optimal satisfaction is experienced at each interaction.
- Managing risks associated with stakeholder relationships through a proactive approach.
- Supporting the development and promotion of resources that enable sector development and improve the Agency’s understanding of the provider environment and experience.
- Providing input into ministerial and parliamentary correspondence, reports and briefs.
- Undertaking project management and evaluation of provider engagement approach.
- Representing the Agency in discussions with providers, provider peak bodies and industry stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication and reporting skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Managing high workloads
- Ability to interpret information and provide clear messaging to external stakeholders
- An understanding of delivering support to participants under the Scheme is desirable
- ** An understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability is highly desirable**
