Who you are
You are passionate about customer excellence and home furnishing. to drive the operational focus and oversee the daily operations of the Customer Relations department, whilst multi-tasking between serving customers, coordinating co-workers, and maintaining a strong focus on the customer transaction. You have good attention to detail, are solution focused and have proven ability to be assertive and under pressure you remain calm when faced with stressful situations. You have highly developed communication and organisational skills. You ensure the work area is effective for our customers’, and cost-efficient for the store by coordinating and supporting the team. You are able to handle complaints, claims and payments in an efficient, accurate and friendly way. You drive the team to create an unforgettable and rewarding experience, including services across all channels, to inspire visitors to return and become regular customers.
**Your responsibilities**
As a Customer Coordinator, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Together with the team, establishing a mindset of a first time right for every customer that chooses to shop with us.
- Supervising the daily operation of the team to ensure a positive customer journey.
- Liaising with leaders and providing feedback on daily areas of team performance and functional activities.
- Securing the daily operations for co-workers and customers while troubleshooting and providing solutions and corrective actions where needed.
- Optimising the shopping journey of our visitors to IKEA by collaborating with all functions to increase co-worker competence and knowledge to ensure customers receive consistent information throughout their shopping journey.
- Recording information accurately in the relevant systems in order to make improvements to the customers’ future shopping experiences.

Together the Customer team’s aim is to continually identify and remove hindrances in order to secure an easy buying experience, a positive shopping experience and easy payment and after-sales fulfilment. A perfect opportunity to home your customer skills, within this fast-paced and dynamic environment we want our customers to return and the best way to do this is to make each connection with IKEA a positive experience.
This opportunity is permanent, part-time, 60hrs/fortnight, located at the Tempe store. The hourly rate will begin at $27.08 plus penalties.
