**Our opportunity**

To provide technical support to other team members across all key actuarial processes including regulatory reporting, capital management, actuarial valuations, experience monitoring and product development.

Your key accountabilities will include (but not limited to);
- **Regulatory reporting**: Monthly outstanding claims liability estimation, quarterly onerous contracts test and prepare required actuarial inputs for regulatory reporting
- **Capital Management**: Calculation and reporting of capital adequacy metrics in accordance with regulatory requirements, as well as assess investment liquidity for portfolio management and cashflow purposes
- **Experience Monitoring**: Prepare monthly and quarterly experience monitoring reports, support the production of the annual financial condition report and identify opportunities for and implement process improvements
- **Annual Premium Round**:Assist in the annual premium round process by providing analytical, data reconciliation and technical review support
- **Product pricing & changes**:Provide analytical support for product pricing/ benefit costing, including extracting and analysing data, preparing projections and preparing actuarial assumptions documentation
- **Projects**: Assist in one-off projects where actuarial or analytical support is required

**About you**

We are searching for a professional who will join us in striving to live our values of bold, warm and honest, in everything we do.

Your expertise and qualifications will include:

- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, statistics or actuarial science. Other disciplines may also be considered.
- Completed or nearly completed Part I of actuarial accreditation (Foundation Program or equivalent).
- At least 12 months relevant work experience in the Private Health Insurance industry
- High proficiency in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Coding experience in VBA, SQL, R and SAS
- A process and change agent mindset with strong organisational abilities.
- Customer service focused with experience dealing with suppliers and internal managers.
