**Our Journey**:
West 2 is a General Medical Unit, composed of 30 beds. We are one of a number of wards which has lead Ward Governance - a system to optimise care outcomes for our patients by collaborating with specialised disciplines to meet the clients health goals. Under this structure, we recognise and encourage all team members to engage in innovative activities to improve the patient experience. In line with this, clerical team member will be encouraged to communicate in harmony with the consumer, Medical, Allied Health and Pharmacy team members.

**A Day in the Life**:
We are seeking a Ward Clerk to be part of our close knit team. You will support the ward function and work under the supervision and delegation of the Nurse Manager. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent service delivery by improving the patient experience.

The role is responsible for but not limited to:

- Management of patient information
- Booking outpatient appointments
- Ordering and management of medical/surgical consumables for the unit
- Booking patient transport

All while ensuring patient confidentiality and providing exceptional customer service.

This is an ongoing, part time position, working Monday to Friday - 4pm to 8pm.

We can consider 2 shifts per week up to 5 shifts per week. Whilst we may consider your request for certain days ongoing, key to your success is your flexibility to pick up other shifts as required.

**What You Bring**:
You bring your previous clerical experience in a hospital setting and are seeking to work in a dynamic environment with a supportive team; a team that is focussed on delivering quality care. You display a positive mindset to deliver patient centred care, and are is focused on seeking opportunities to improve the patient experience through your capability framework. You work well both in a team and on your own, can problem solve, have attention to detail, great IT skills, and can work in a fast paced, sometimes challenging, situations.

**What you need**:

- Previous experience in working with Health Informatics
- Completed medical terminology course
