**About Local Freight**

Local Freight is a progressive family-owned transport company servicing metro and North Queensland with a fleet of 50 trucks and trailers. We carry a wide mix of general freight including various types of constructions materials, fertilisers.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Forklift Operator to join our team at the Wacol depot. The position is long term full time permanent. Be a part of family like friendly team. Great remuneration on offer.

Monday to Friday with some Saturday work.

Your great work ethic will see you succeed with the efficient and timely loading and unloading of general freight with duties including:

- Loading a range of general standard and non-standard palletised freight.
- Blending different types of freight to achieve maximum payloads.
- Loading and unload mezzanine floor trailers, linehaul trailers, local vehicles.
- Following safe operating procedures and comply with company policies.
- Restraining loads.

**To be successful for this Role you will need to**:

- Be motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Hold a Forklift License (LF) with excellent Forklift skills.
- Have experience loading/unloading PUD fleet, mezzanine floors with a range of general/blended freight.
- Experience with Timber highly advantageous.
- Have the ability to work independently.
- Awareness and knowledge of axle weights and load distribution.
- Have a commitment to safe work practices.
- Be able to work autonomously as required.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
