We currently have an exciting opportunity for **Qualified** **Full Time Butcher** to join our team based in **MT Tamborine.**

**Key duties will include**:

- Breaking of Beef, Lamb, Pork and Chicken in an efficient and effective manner;
- Ensure that the meat cabinet is attractively stocked with the appropriate quantity of cuts;
- Advertised product lines are highlighted and maintained during promotional period;
- Ensure direct supplier order quantities are determined and orders are placed as required, to ensure adequate stock levels are always available within the meat department;
- Order and control stocks of meat and packaging materials;
- Inspect meat deliveries before accepting stock to ensure that quality is of the highest standard;
- Monitor meat quality and appearance at all stages from receipt to sale and ensure that only stock of acceptable quality, freshness and presentation is offered for sale;
- Any other ad hoc duties that may arise.

**Experience and qualification required**:

- Trade qualified butcher
- _Supermarket experience preferred but not essential;_
- Experience breaking of Beef, Lamb, Pork and Chicken;
- Experience with product preparation and presentation for sale, in a supermarket environment;
- Food handling/safety knowledge;
- Excellent merchandising skills;
- Excellent Customer Service;
- Team player with good communication skills;
- Positive attitude.

We are ideally seeking a person who can make a long term commitment, who is reliable and punctual but most of all understands the meat industry and what customers want.
