**The role**
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment, this role is responsible for project managing large risk improvement initiatives alongside Critical Risk owners to achieve risk reduction outcomes. Additionally, this role will be required to provide technical HSE support to the logistics function to improve HSE awareness and compliance.
This is a key role within our structure and will work closely with a varied group of stakeholders.
**Key deliverables for the role include**:
Develop, lead and promote Safety First culture across the CBH business.
Coach and mentor key stakeholders in the Critical Risk Management program.
Identify opportunities to establish key relationships with contractors and vendors that can demonstrate strong, proven safety performances.
Provide technical, planning and execution support related to Health, Safety and Environment activities across the deployment of Critical Risk improvement projects.
Conduct, develop and participate in training and development initiatives, including providing on-the-job training, conducting, and attending toolbox and pre-start meetings as required.
Support development and deployment of the HSE Critical Risk Framework across the CBH group and maintain continuous engagement with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with desired risk reduction outcomes.
Identify Risks and Opportunities and ensure mitigation controls are in place and/or implementation plan is achieved.
Experience in the implementation of a Critical Risk framework/program (preferably using the bow-tie method)
Diploma or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety. A data analytics qualification would be highly advantageous
Experience in heavy industry
Proven leadership to deliver positive outcomes under changing directions and competing priorities combined with constraints in available resources and time.
Proven ability to develop communications for varied audiences
Able to demonstrate the ability to lead change effectively
self-driven, with a passion for driving improvement in risk reduction through an analytical and structured approach.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at various business levels
An ability to work in a strong team environment
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
