While growing in providing supports to additional number of clients in various parts of Melbourne, we are looking for a vibrant, energetic, compassionate and self-motivated individuals to join our team to provide support services with care to the individuals that they require and deserve, and make a difference to lives of people that make up our community.

We are looking for Support Workers who possess the following requirements and wish to make a positive difference in their community.

Duties & Tasks

The tasks required for support work vary between the clients, and are dependent on their needs, goals and circumstances. It could include, but is not limited to:

- Assisting with Personal care, Domestic duties and manual handling
- Provide in-home support with daily tasks such as bathing, grooming and travel
- Providing assistance with meal preparation and serving
- Monitoring of self-medication
- Social and community access within the home environment and out in the community.
- Transporting client to social outings and social engagements
- Assist with the delivery of activities to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of those in their care.
- Assist participant with domestic tasks, cleaning and other daily activities
- Provide companionship and support during daily activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing programs and plans according to participant’s needs
- Help supporting clients to achieve their goals and assisting them with many aspects of life.

Requirements*
Preferred personal traits for ideal support workers:

- Enthusiasm and passion for providing quality support to participants and families with patience and care for others
- A clear understanding of expectations from oneself working as a support worker
- Competence in written and verbal communication
- Able to perform task and domestic duties efficiently
- Flexibility in unplanned extension of a rostered shift
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively within crisis and emergency situations

Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain:

- Current Drivers Licence or Approved License to Drive in Victoria
- Valid Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous relevant experience as Support Worker
- Certificate 3 &/or 4 in Disability, or other relevant
- First Aid Certificate

**Salary**: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
