AmSpec is a market leader in independent inspection, testing, verification and specialized technical services to the Oil, Gas and Chemical sector (exploration, production, refining, storage, transportation) and to the Marine, Minerals and Agricultural sectors.

**Position available**:
This dynamic, fast paced position takes responsibility for West Coast Oil & Gas operations, including client management, staff management, and the provision and overseeing of specialised field services. Full time position based in Fremantle with occasional travel to remote locations.

**Duties and Specific responsibilities**:

- Plan and schedule all field operations to ensure all nominations are attended by qualified team members in a timely manner
- Manage senior client communications and ensure all expectations are understood, agreed and delivered
- Guide, train and supervise teams of Cargo / Petroleum Surveyors / Inspectors
- Provide specialist services including fuel blending
- Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded
- Liaising with client, vessel, custom and shore facility personnel
- Liaise with other AmSpec business units regarding complimenting works
- Ensure all works are performed with an absolute focus on safety and compliance with AmSpec, client and legislative guidelines.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Petroleum Inspection / Oil, Gas and Chemical industry
- Working knowledge of oil terminals and storage facilities
- Specialist knowledge of Petroleum Surveying and fuel blending
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience managing staff
- Australian citizen or demonstrate the right to live and work in Australia
- Valid Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC), or ability to obtain

**Required Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication - written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours - including evening/nights, weekends and public holidays
- Ability to work unsupervised, both individually and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working outdoors completing physically demanding work

**Salary**: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Flexible hours
- On call
- Weekend availability
