**About the role**
The Debt & Alternatives team of Cbus Investments works across many sectors including the cash, fixed interest, global credit, enhanced income and alternative growth sectors and supports the internalisation of investment strategies as part of Cbus’s strategic plan.
This newly created, junior position that will collaborate with the broader Debt & Alternatives team to review and monitor financial counterparty risk exposure, support the internal cash management team and assist with other tasks across the Debt & Alternatives team.
The main responsibilities will include reviewing credit risk on financial counterparties and being trained to support the internal cash management team on trading activities. There will be other ad-hoc tasks across the Debt & Alternatives Team which will provide exposure across many different sectors that the team is responsible for.
The role requires knowledge and understanding of fixed income securities, good financial literacy, strong analytical and modelling skills, as well as good verbal and written communication. Attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with different teams within the organisation are key to ensure the team can operate efficiently and successfully and meet deadlines.
- This role requires the combination of credit skills and financial modelling experience gained in the banking, or funds management industries or from relevant studies.
The role may suit a graduate or junior analyst with a couple of years direct investments experience as it offers a unique opportunity to understand the functioning of short-term money market, fixed interest and credit products.
