**Library Systems and Emerging Technologies Team Leader**Band 7 ($98,981.08 - 4 $110,122.80)**Permanent, Full time 35 hours per week**Fortnightly RDO**
- The City of Brimbank is located in the western and north-western suburbs of Melbourne, between 11 and 23 kilometres west and north-west of the Melbourne CBD. - We are a dynamic public library service in the west with over two million visits each year. The libraries are based at Sunshine, St Albans, Deer Park, Sydenham and Keilor.

**About the job**
- This role leads the library Community Information Technology (CIT) team and is responsible for the selection, implementation, monitoring, reporting and on-going management of the libraries systems and digital environment, including the library website. This position manages the systems required for Brimbank Libraries to function at optimum levels. This includes the provision of usage statistics of services and systems.
- As a key member of the Library Leadership team the role is responsible for creating a culture of effective, efficient and inclusive library service delivery. This position will work with library staff, internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement new and emergent technologies for enhancing customer service and digital inclusion.

- To be successful in this role, you will be highly adaptable to technological change, have excellent technical skills to support the management, ongoing maintenance and development of the systems, including the Libraries Management System (KOHA). With strong people skills, an understanding new and emerging technology you will lead IT projects to meet the needs of the local community and support the library automated and electronic services. With a record of delivering projects on time and on budget, you will have a passion for the research and development of current and emerging technologies to support Brimbank Libraries’ goals and initiatives.
- With tertiary qualifications in library services, information management or similar relevant area, you will be committed to working closely with staff across Library sites to foster a community first culture and drive accountability by coaching, mentoring and empowering direct reports. You will be someone who can proactively contribute to a forward-looking culture by encouraging and promoting a ‘can-do’ team spirit amongst your peers.
- You will have leadership and financial management experience, effective communication and the ability to provide high level face to face customer service in a public libraries or similar community setting.
- As part of the Libraries Unit you will be required to deliver direct customer service at all service points as rostered across opening hours, including weekends and evenings.
- This position is required to be on call across library opening hours, including evenings and weekends as rostered.
