**Eligibility**

**Division Responsibilities**
As part of the Corporate Operations Group the Financial Management Division supports the
government and the department by providing a range of financial and budget management
services and advice and managing property and essential office assets and equipment. The
division also provides financial, payroll and enquiry services for Health's employees,
suppliers and the community.
**Branch Responsibilities**
The Corporate and Financial Services Branch provides essential corporate services and
advice to enable the department and broader portfolio to function effectively. We’re one of
the largest and most diverse branches in the department and provide more than 400
different services across our teams to support thousands of people. Our services include
payroll, accounts processing, travel and credit card management, portfolio agency service
management and the contact centre. Our emphasis is on providing services to support
individuals and the business of Health. We’re the delivery and customer service experts.
**Section Responsibilities**
The Financial Services section provides financial services for the department and several
portfolio agencies. The services provided include accounts payable; accounts receivable; and
support for travel and departmental credit cards.
**Key Responsibilities**
As part of the section management team, team leaders are responsible for:
- overseeing a small team;
- assisting with delivery of one of the services provided by the section: accounts payable;
accounts receivable; debt management; expense management (travel and credit cards);
system support; or reporting and data;
- delivering timely and accurate services;
- managing staff workflows, identifying and delivering training and identifying business
improvement opportunities;
- managing escalated issues and problem solving;
- participating in section projects; and
- supporting senior team management
**Key Capabilities**

travel) and risks associated with providing those services;
- excellent organisational and planning skills;

- team player and the ability to work with limited supervision and deliver on team work;
- ability to train staff, share learning and support other section members; and

**Desirable Qualifications & Experience**
- Qualifications in Accounting or Finance desired but not required
- Experience working in financial operations teams (e.g. Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable, Debt or Expense Management)
- Customer service experience
- Experience working in a team Experience managing and training staff
