We’re looking for a locally based, like-minded individual to join our growing practice to provide efficient and effective financial operations support to the Ceccato + Associates management team.

**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced MYOB Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper who is happy to work autonomously and has a broad knowledge of Accounting and Bookkeeping concepts. The desired successful applicant will be responsible for working to support the financial management of the business including accounts payable and receivables, contract administration and general financial reporting.

Staff carparking is available on site.

**Salary Package Range**:
$65k - $80k PA (Full time), Pro Rata.

**Duties will include: -**
- Preparation, processing and payment of fortnightly payroll for approx. 10+ staff and issuing payslips to employees (currently MYOB with single touch payroll reporting to the ATO).
- Maintain employee records (ie. adding new employees, updating contact details, etc) & recording/ processing client employee leave entitlements including long service leave, annual leave, personal/ sick leave, etc.
- Management of month end process, bank reconciliations, BAS, payroll tax lodgement and IAS statements
- Record all information correctly in preparation for end of financial year
- Assisting external accountants with preparation of BAS.
- Responsibility for the preparation of invoicing including recurring charges, project invoicing, office expenses and general invoicing.
- Monitoring of project status in conjunction with Project Architects/ Directors to ensure monthly fee accounts are issued on time.
- Manage and process all payments to suppliers.
- Prepare and provide financial reports for management ie. P&L budget, cash flow projections and forecasting reports
- Manage all daily banking duties and reconciliations & petty cash.
- Timely, accurate and efficient entry of all employee, client and supplier data into software.

- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and able to meet tight deadlines
- Good analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal with creditors and debtors
- High level of computer literacy and knowledge of relevant software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, calendars and desktop publishing.
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience operating as an Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper
- Minimum 2 years previous experience using MYOB, Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams/Zoom, OneDrive/Dropbox
- Familiarity with bookkeeping, basic accounting procedures & experience in accounts payable/ receivable functions
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Degree or relevant qualification in accounting or business considered favourably
- Built environment industry experience considered favourably
