**About the role**

The role requires a professional "go-getter" who is willing and able to grasp the challenges faced in our fast-growing company Due to continued growth of the business we are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a casual basis with potential of full-time employment at our Wacol workshop. Options for assisting in site installation across Australia is also on offer.

**Duties include but not limited to**:

- **Workshop assembly of conveyors and processing equipment.**
- **General workshop tasks including steel cutting, drilling, preparation.**
- **Operating and carryout out tasks using workshop equipment**
- **Packing and preparation of equipment for transport**
- **Site Installation of conveyors and mechanical systems**
- **Adhoc workshop tasks are required**

**About you**
- 1-3 years’ experience as a mechanical fitter
- Sound mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
- Willingness to aid in other tasks within the business when required.
- Forklift License desirable - however not essential
- Knowledge of machine shop practices
- Experience in following equipment assembly procedures and following engineering drawings.
- Proven safety and quality focus to perform duties in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ability work as part of a team, and do whatever is required, to help achieve business targets.
- Forklift License desirable - however not essential
- Lathe experience desirable - however not essential

**Salary**: $29.53 - $45.99 per hour

**Experience**:

- Mechanical fitter: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
