**About the role**
This role has responsibility for supporting the Manager, Advice Quality and Compliance and the Senior Manager, Advice Operations to lead the ongoing quality and compliance of advice and advice processes, to support the provision of advice to members nationally.

The Advice Governance Consultant will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as advisers, general advice representatives, Team Leaders, and compliance business partners, as well as with external stakeholders, to facilitate performance and compliance outcomes across Cbus member experience teams.

A strong working knowledge of financial advice and its regulatory framework is required, with prior experience in a compliance or file review capacity preferred.

Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills are also essential to ensure compliance issues are identified and resolved swiftly and advice services are consistently delivered in a compliant manner.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Support Line 1 audit activities, including preparation, participation, review, and follow-up.
- Conduct end-to-end file reviews of personal advice and intra-fund advice quality checks.
- Maintain and enhance advice processes, policies, and risk controls to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Oversee regulatory controls and risk reporting, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of advice representatives.
- Investigate incidents and breaches, supporting remediation and compliance initiatives.
- Monitor and report on compliance outcomes, providing feedback to improve advice quality.
- Assist in the development and execution of audits, including second
- and third-line reviews.
- Contribute to AFSL monitoring and supervision frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated experience supporting the compliance of a banking or financial services business. Experience with general advice and intra-fund advice reviews advantageous.
- Knowledge of advice related compliance and regulatory issues.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt flexibly, and work autonomously and as a part of the team.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ethical decision-making.
