**ABOUT US**
ORBIT is a project management agency based in Sydney, NSW specialising in end-to-end production of major events, festivals, creative installations and activations across government, corporate and community clients.
Our slated projects for this year include major music and cultural festivals, local council and community events, awards nights, corporate events and bespoke brand builds. No day is ever the same at ORBIT.
**PURPOSE OF THE PRODUCER ROLE**
The role of Producer is responsible for the planning and management of projects and events to a high standard for ORBIT’s clients and stakeholders.
The position is full-time and based in Sydney NSW, with some travel required for client work on an ad-hoc basis.
The Producer will have high level project management and operations experience, a background in large-scale events, and a strong ability to multitask across competing priorities to deliver projects to schedule and budget.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Producer will:
- Produce and manage events and projects as directed by the General Manager;
- Plan and deliver event services, such as supplier management, scheduling, site plans, risk management, and on-the-ground functions;
- Manage timelines and budgets to provide accurate and timely information to clients;
- Ensure a consistent and high level of presentation standard is achieved for all events and projects;
- Participate in project meetings and site visits as required to deliver the project to a high standard;
- Develop systems and processes for company operations;
- Manage Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) by maintaining risk management documentation, ensuring awareness and standards around the workplace and event sites.
- Manage contractors and casual staff to ensure appropriate guidance, direction and resources are provided;
- Ensure reconciliations and invoices for project work are accurate and timely;
- Report on post-event outcomes and identify opportunities to improve processes and services; and
- Demonstrate personal leadership which aligns with the company’s culture and values, including delivery of high-quality service to clients and fostering a positive work environment.
**SELECTION CRITERIA**
Essential:
5+ years experience in a similar role
Experience in event or project management, especially outdoor festivals
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team of staff and contractors.
- Experience in financial management, executing project budgets, understanding of a varied range of contracts, and strong financial processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate with influence.
- Impeccable organisational skills and grace under pressure, reacting promptly to project adjustments promptly and efficiently.
- Proven ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately represent and advocate on behalf of the company to a diverse audience, including clients, industry partners, funding bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours when necessary.
- High level of digital and online literacy, including experience in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Xero and other online tools.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong focus on problem solving and managing competing priorities.
- Displays personal drive, integrity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
