Private Nanny/housekeeper

A beautiful family located in McMahon’s Point, NSW is looking for a wonderful and experienced Nanny and House-Manger to join their family of 5. The family has 3 children, G - 8 years, B - 5 years and G - 3 years. This is a full time position, of approximately 40 hours a week, with the requirement to be available for excess hours, as well with international and national travel required.

The primary role of the Employee is to assist The Employer with all family errands involving the Employer's day to day needs, the daily running of the household, day to day requests of a travel needs, and care of the children. The Employee will be the sole carer for the Children when the Employer(’s) are not present.

The following duties, as already outlined by the Employer, are to be carried out as directed by the Employer and shall include but not be limited to:

- Implement processes and strategies to deal with the family's busy schedule
- Ensure all family members are prepared for any changes in the week
- Day to day family errands including; dry cleaning, groceries, post office, delivering documents
- Accept deliveries, organise and supervise tradesmen, house maintenance, etc.
- Emptying Employer's vehicle daily and facilitating the cleaning and detailing of all household vehicles and filling with petrol
- Grocery shop twice a week or as needed
- Making purchases and or organising returns at the request of the Employer for all household members, stocktake of personal products and repurchase the same brands as needed
- Liaise with the housekeeper if she requires cleaning products, etc.
- All holiday packing and unpacking
- Assisting with family and household events
- Cleaning out and reorganising wardrobes, office and toy-room with Employer, dropping items off to charity, facilitate the sale of items at the request of the Employer.
- Complete spreadsheet with high value items and scanning receipts all to be sent to insurer
- Assisting Employer with new build as directed by Employer, this includes but is not limited opening up new property for trades and consultants, collecting materials, printing of documents, research etc
- Creating a safe and loving environment for the Children, build strong relationships with each of the Children, parents & grandparents
- Use firm but supportive communication with the Children
- Prepare school uniforms, sporting equipment, news items for the Children
- Unpack school bags every afternoon, read school communication's, provide summary to mum
- Organise fun, creative and engaging activities when Children are not at school
- Plan ahead for school holidays and coordinate playdates with friends and cousins
- Live in and take sole charge if parents need to travel
- Care for Children if unwell, administer Panadol with parents' consent and take them to GP if required
- In the event of an emergency call an ambulance
- Keep the fridge full with nutritious snacks, meals, and food for lunch boxes
- Offer Children breakfast in the mornings before school and assist with packing lunch boxes (always leave open for mum to check). Leaving home by 8am each morning.
- Have a large meal ready as soon as children arrive home from school, and then a secondary smaller meal before bed.
- Encourage children to try new types of food
- Cook and bake simple foods with children as an activity
- Do readers, homework and violin and piano practice every afternoon
- School pick up and drop off (as required)
- Sticking to the Children's routine
- Cleaning - bottles
- Always ensuring full set of bottles are cleaned and prepared at the end of your shift
- Communicate with other staff if required, provide a handover
- Leaving the bedrooms, bathrooms, living area or kitchen clean and tidy when you leave. This is of high importance.
- Maintaining clear communication with parents, this includes keeping mobile phone switched on and on loud so that parents can communicate with you frequently and promptly during your shift.
- Changing nappies on demand and disposing of nappies in the council bin.
- Bathing the Children alone, or assisting mum with showering and bathing all children together
- Water on bedsides every night
- Keep children's devices charged
- Stocktake of nappies, wipes, formula, and medicine every week.
- Domestic & International Travel Arrangement

All job expectations and responsibilities remain the same when travelling with the Employer. In addition, the Employee is expected to;
- Ensure you have all travel documentation including passport, visa's, vaccination passports prepared
- Accompanying the family on flights, where you may be required to fly in the same class or a separate class, with children or alone. Short flights and long-haul flights.
- On call 24 hours
