We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Community Support Worker to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct care, personal care, and support to individuals with complex mental health conditions, Autism, dementia, and schizophrenia.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and skill development.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and outings to promote community participation and social inclusion.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, behaviors, and any changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, building trusting and respectful relationships.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working with individuals with mental health conditions, Autism, intellectual disabilities, and schizophrenia is essential.
- Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Mental Health, Disability Support, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health conditions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

**Availability**:

- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am to 1pm (mandatory requirement)
- Tuesday and Thursday ideally between 9am to 4pm

**Desirable Attributes**:

- Being located within Marrickville and Dulwich Hill or nearby areas.
- Experience in implementing behavior support strategies and interventions.
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods.
- Training in manual handling and safe lifting techniques.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
