In this role you will enjoy a balanced position, with 40% of your time dedicated to leadership responsibilities and 60% to teaching duties, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in both areas. As the Deputy Head of Junior School - Culture and Care you will operate across both BMGS Junior School campuses, located in Wentworth Falls and Springwood. You will work closely with the Head of Junior School, Executive, staff, students, and parents to ensure the continued success and development of the school.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Pastoral Care and Student Wellbeing: Oversee student wellbeing, manage behaviour issues, collaborate with Senior School and Learning Enrichment teams, and communicate wellbeing program goals.
- Leadership and Management: Assist with the overall management and leadership of the Junior School, lead specific initiatives, and provide support and guidance to teaching staff.
- Curriculum and Teaching: Support the development and implementation of the curriculum, implement mentoring strategies for teachers, and demonstrate outstanding teaching practices.
- Parental Engagement: Facilitate positive engagement with the school community, organize and participate in parent-related events and workshops.
- Administration and Compliance: Handle administrative tasks, assist with compliance matters, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Junior School when needed.
**Criteria**
- Experience: Proven track record in leading school initiatives, understanding of current curriculum and teaching practices, and experience in holistic learner development.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; strategic thinking; and well-developed administrative capabilities.
- Personal Attributes: Commitment to the School's ethos and values, high self-regulation and professionalism, and a proactive, flexible approach to work.
