**Join our Acute Allied Health team as a Podiatry Allied Health Assistant today**

**About the role**:
Reporting to the SALHN Podiatry Manager Acute this role will be required to manage a busy workload and competing demands and will be involved in providing assistance and support to the Podiatry team under supervision in the delivery of Allied Health services to patients of the Noarlunga Hospital.

Duties for the role will include:

- Assisting patient transport to/from AHP therapy/intervention
- Provide basic education to patients/groups of patients as directed by AHP staff on discreet topics
- Accurately maintain related databases and patient documentation under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP
- Assist with the preparation and set up of relevant work area prior to clinical sessions and cleaning up/packing up any work areas after sessions

**About you**:

- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and / or handling of patient related equipment and devices
- Ability to use documented resources such as policies and procedures and work instructions to enable safe work practices
- Hold a certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistant and be working towards completion of a certificate 4 Allied Health Assistant
- Hold a Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistant
- Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
