Melbourne, Australia Country Road Group Full time

As a Work Health & Safety Leader you will manage the day-to-day health and safety processes for our David Jones & Country Road Group stores across Victoria. You will also play a pivotal role in the implementation of new processes and procedures, which will inform and support how our stores operate in a post pandemic environment. We are looking for a passionate and emerging WHS professional who has experience working across multiple sites and who has demonstrated capabilities coaching and influencing stakeholders at various levels of a business.

With a hybrid mix of time in our Burnley head office, Victorian Stores and home, this role will suit a passionate WHS professional who thrives in working in a fast-paced retail environment.

What will the role involve?
- Partner with stakeholders at various levels to provide leadership and advice on WHS matters
- Undertake hazard and incident investigations; facilitate development and implementation of risk management responses and monitor their effectiveness.
- Support and assist Management to comply with state and territory legislation.
- Ensure health and safety information and performance is measured and communicated to all staff in a clear and concise manner
- Identify/facilitate strategies and programs to mitigate claims potentials and ensure the safety of our people and customers alike
- Act as an advocate and coach to our teams around the implementation and continuous improvement of safety

What are we looking for?
- Experience in a similar multisite Work Health Safety Business Partner, or WHS Advisor role in fast paced retail environment or a similar industry
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or similar field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop authentic and caring relationships
- Demonstrated ability to partner and influence multiple stakeholder groups
- Ability to set priorities, plan work programs and meet strict deadlines
- Have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, fast-paced retail environment
