Together we can heal and protect the bush, now and into the future. **About the role**: The Visitation Officer will join a small team (Events and Visitation) dedicated in engaging our supporters and new people to Bush Heritage, through a range of events and reserve visits. This team also plays a key role in providing support across the organisation with event and visit related activities. The Visitation Officer will play a major role in helping to deliver our Visitation Program, with particular focus on guided visits. These visits range from single to multi day trips. This is both an administrative and field-based role. The incumbent will require an excellent understanding of trip planning and logístical requirements and have excellent experience in coordinating and managing group visits in field-based locations. The Visitation Officer works closely with key staff and stakeholders involved in guided trip activities and is responsible for undertaking administrative tasks, such as trip documentation, promotions, bookings, briefings and reports. The Visitation Officer provides critical support to the field staff or experts in all aspects of the trip's delivery. During guided trip times, the Visitation Officer will regularly be required to work outside of standard business hours and be prepared to travel away from home and to some very remote locations. Download Position Description>> **What you'll need to succeed**: - **Experience**:At least 5 years demonstrated experience in similar role or outdoor education, nature or adventure tourism sector. - **Passion for Conservation**:Genuine commitment and passion for nature conservation and Bush Heritage’s vision and values.** **Ability to help inspire and motivate participants to support and engage in our cause. - **Administration**:High level of computer literacy and proficiency with personal computers including word processing, Outlook, spreadsheet and data software. Willingness to use and learn new programs and systems. - **Communication Skills**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly and approachable demeanor with ability to build rapport with participants and staff, and foster a positive group dynamic. Work collaboratively across teams to deliver safe and enjoyable trips that help deliver results. - **Leadership and Problem-Solving**:Strong leadership and group management skills. Ability to lead from behind and let others shine. Quick thinking and adaptability to handle unexpected situations or changes in plans.** **Resourcefulness in finding solutions to problems that arise. - **Physical Fitness**:Good level of physical fitness to participate in and co-lead field based guided trips, including walking, lifting, bending, climbing, driving.** **Stamina and endurance for sometimes long hours in potentially challenging environments. - **Safety and Risk Management**:Ability to assess and mitigate risks associated with these activities Able to handle emergencies and provide first aid if necessary. - **Travel**: Willingness and ability to travel away from home, interstate and often to remote areas - **Certifications and proficiencies**:Remote or Wilderness First Aid or equivalent, Manual drivers licence and four-wheel-driving experience.
