Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Medical Oncology. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Medical Oncology and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Medical Oncology Department and Hospital as required.
The appointee to this position will provide coverage of specialist medical oncology clinic during periods of consultant leave including the review of outpatients and prescription of anti-cancer therapy where required. There is no responsibility for the management of inpatients as part of this appointment.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Medical Oncology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Position/s are currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship prior to, or within two months of the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year on 2 February 2026, may be considered.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
