The client is a global e-commerce retailer servicing more than 180 million customers around the world.

The General Counsel is looking for a paralegal or a graduate lawyer to join their team based in Sydney.

The position is a 12 month, full time, contract role.

**About the Role**:
Work is anticipated to primarily involve helping with overflow escalations and litigation work in local courts and tribunals, including recovery work.

Working in an in-house capacity you may also get exposure to:

- Conducting research and document searches
- Supporting the General Counsel and Company Secretary with tasks such as preparing resolutions and drafting board meeting minutes
- Providing support to other divisions within the business.
- Liaising with external legal counsel to coordinate legal advice
- Preparing contracts using templates
- Assisting with the management of the contract management system

**About You**:

- Third year or above
- Good academic standing (credit average minimum)
- Available to work full time
- Previous legal/corporate office experience. Ideally paid experience obtained in Australia.
- An interest in business and technology ideally
