**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Technology Services team for a dynamic Service Desk Support Officer. Reporting to the Service Desk Coordinator, the Service Desk Support Officer role is responsible for providing a multi-level service desk support for staff. This includes issuing and installing new devices, configuration, device support, technical support, logging issues and cases, troubleshooting, escalating cases as required.
This role will also assist with the implementation of new technologies and projects across Council, liaising with external service providers and supporting Council's elected representatives with Council supplied hardware and software.
The successful applicant will require:
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or at least two (2) years’ experience in an Information Technology support role i.e. helpdesk or desktop support
- Experience operating in a corporate networking environment
- Experience in Active Directory
- Experience in using a service management software solution for tracking and resolution of issues, asset management etc.
- Experience with a wide range of operating systems including windows, IOS and Android
- Experience with one-on-one staff training in a computer environment
- Current class C drivers licence.

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role will be located at Council's Merrylands and Auburn Office, with travel required to work across any of Council’s designated work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 9 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,350.06 to $1,552.57 per week, plus 10% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role.
