**About the Opportunity**

Our team is quickly growing and a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retail Travel Sales Consultant to join our Travel and Experiences team of experts, to provide exceptional customer service to our members and customers.

Our Geelong retail store recently opened in Malop Street, trading 6 days week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm & Saturday 9am-2pm. Our team work full-time 5 days week, with the requirement to attend occasional out of office industry events.

As a Travel Sales Consultant, you will utilise your exceptional customer service skills and share your knowledge, expertise and passion for travel. You will be responsible for managing the customer travel experience from beginning to end, promoting travel products, converting sales to meet targets, creating long lasting relationships that foster repeat business for return travellers and achieving a high level of member and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities for the role include:
- Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & insurance- Assist customers with face to face in store & online service, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellations- Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers, using Amadeus GDS- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross selling & up selling of travel products- Manage travel credits, refunds and changes- Attend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIs- Attend industry events ie. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos

**What you’ll need to be successful**- Travel sales consultant experience in a retail agency environment, essential- Certificate 3 in Travel or higher, preferred- Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo GDS experience- Passion for travel industry and personal travel experience- Excellent customer service & communication skills- Outstanding organisational, attention to detail & problem solving skills- Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively- Ability to attend induction training Monday-Friday for the first 2-3 weeks in Melbourne office CBD store. Your public transport travel costs will be covered by RACV.
