We’re looking for a sharp, reliable **Accounts Payable Officer** to join our team on a **6-month contract** — with flexibility to work **full time, part time, or casual**. If you’ve got an eye for detail and a love for numbers, you’ll thrive in this role You’ll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, while supporting the finance team with reporting and insights that help drive smart decisions. As an **Accounts Payable Officer**, you'll play a key part in keeping our finances accurate, compliant, and running efficiently. Here's what you’ll be doing:

- Process & Reconcile: Accurately process invoices, staff expenses, and credit card reconciliations, ensuring timely payment runs and clean records.
- Resolve & Communicate: Collaborate with Procurement to resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain vendor relationships.
- Support the Team: Back up the Finance Officer during leave, assist with bank/vendor reconciliations, and manage department mail and the AP inbox.
- Ensure Compliance: Uphold high standards of safety, security, and OH&S in line with company policies and industry regulations.
- Work Smart: Thrive in a busy environment, multitask effectively, and support ad hoc finance tasks as needed.

**Who are we looking for?**

A motivated and detail-focused **Accounts Payable Officer** who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll bring a solid foundation in accounting, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for delivering accurate, timely financial results. If you're someone who values teamwork, takes initiative, and embraces continuous improvement, we want you on our team
- ** Accounts Payable Expertise**: ideally 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, with a strong grasp of end-to-end AP, reconciliations, payments, and vendor management.
- ** Technical Know-How**: Skilled in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experienced with ERP systems (TechOne experience a bonus).
- ** Problem Solver**: Strong initiative with the ability to resolve issues independently while identifying and driving process improvements.
- ** Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy in coding, processing, and reconciling transactions—getting it right the first time matters.
- ** Strong Communicator**: Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to work well across teams.
- ** Commercially Aware**: Sound business judgement, a keen eye for efficiencies, and alignment with Alliance’s core values: Performance, Purpose, People & Service.
