**About Us**: Picnic Creek State School is located in Coomera, part of the growth corridor between the Gold Coast and Brisbane.The school opened in 2018 with 196 students and has rapidly grown to just over 930 at present.Picnic Creek SS has a commitment to provide a quality education realising the potential of all students.Parents, staff and students work in partnership to be Kind, Safe, Learners and to uphold the valued of Believe, Strive, Achieve. **About the Role**: **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**: - Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality outcomes for all students. - Deputise for the Principal when required. - Uphold the Deputy Principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity. - Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business. - Actively participating in lifelong learning and engaging in ongoing professional development inspiring a culture of continuous improvement. - Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling. - Setting and maintaining high standards for both student and staff performance, encouraging growth and excellence.
