**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Project Initiation and Engagement team as an IT Test Analyst. In this role, you will be a part of our Infrastructure Services area, working within the testing team to contribute to the automation testing efforts across various whole-of-government initiatives and projects within the branch. Initially, your primary focus will be assisting in the design, development, and enhancement of the Test Automation framework for our Infrastructure Automation toolset, including the development and maintenance of regression suites. You will also utilize these frameworks as part of the testing process. Reporting to a Test Manager, you will collaborate with other testers across different teams to ensure accurate and thorough testing results. Flexibility is essential in this role, as priorities may shift within the branch based on Executive Priorities and directions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the definition of a Test Automation framework and automation of manual testing tasks within the ATO.
- Utilize Visual Studio code and C# solutions for automated functional testing and integration using MsTest.
- Demonstrate practical programming skills using.Net (preferably C#), JSON, XML, and package management (e.g., nuget, npm) as well as proficiency with GitHub repository management.
- Develop and maintain API testing and automation frameworks using C# and be familiar with Gherkin syntax.
- Identify and automate manual test cases as required.
- Take ownership of planning and executing both functional and non-functional tests within agreed timeframes and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Possess knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Microsoft tools (e.g., Microsoft Test Manager, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)).
- Develop a solid understanding of the business requirements to ensure test definition and development align with the system's intended use.
- Maintain regular communication with Agile Team members and reporting managers to provide progress updates on testing and identify any risks to release timelines or quality standards.
- Adhere to the ATO's system development methodologies in all test activities.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Senior Automation Test Analyst/Automation Test Analyst.
- Strong knowledge and experience in designing Test Automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Visual Studio code and C# solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise in automated functional testing and integration using MsTest.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Specflow, with a preference for experience automating APIs.
- Practical programming experience using.Net (preferably C#), JSON, XML, and package management tools (e.g., nuget, npm), along with proficiency in GitHub repository management.
- Experience with API testing and automation frameworks using C# and familiarity with Gherkin syntax.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Microsoft tools (e.g., Microsoft Test Manager, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to work in Agile development environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
