Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager - Digital Infrastructure, you will support and improve existing Cloud based and on-premise SQL database installations while being responsible for configuring new database deployments and ensuring that all databases are monitored and maintained to a high level of operational status (as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key knowledge and experience
**The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following**:

- Experience in the technical support of database administration services, information systems, technical problem solving and the formulation of database solutions delivering services to large, complex organisations preferably in the health care sector.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective use of the ITIL processes Change Management, Capacity Planning, Incident and Problem Management.
- Demonstrated technical skills in:

- Database support/administration of all current versions of Microsoft® SQL Server, i.e. 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019.
- Implementation and performance tuning of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
- Microsoft® Windows fail-over clustering and SQL DB Availability Groups.
- SQL DB mirroring, Log Shipping, Availability Groups and Containers for resilience and disaster recovery (DR).
- SQL Coding and Database Administration design.
- SQL queries, stored procedures, Scripting, SSIS packages
- Migration of databases from previous SQL versions to latest releases.
- Configuring, monitoring and deployment of vendor provided database scripts.
