**Marino Meat and Food Store is an upmarket traditional Italian butcher and speciality food store within the Adelaide Central Markets. Specialising in Italian and European food products, house made artisan smallgoods, fresh pasta, dry aged meat and specialty cheeses, as well as our Panini Bar serving porchetta rolls and freshly piped cannoli. We’re an established family business and we’re looking for a Deli Assistant / Manager.**

This is a permanent role, with options for full time or part time (minimum 30 hours per week) depending on the applicant. We are seeking a confident, passionate and experienced Deli Assistant, over a Tuesday to Saturday roster. This role will require staff supervision and training new staff, the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks accordingly. Full responsibility and accountability for stock ordering and maintaining stock levels, clean and prepare workstations and displays, ordering consumables and the ability to provide exceptional and responsive customer service. Previous experience in a food service, catering or deli role is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in using deli apparatus (slicer, scales)
- Experience preparing fresh food items
- Experience in merchandising stock windows and displays
- Experience in managing a small team
- A passion for food, especially cold meats and cheeses

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 38 per week
