The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) plays a crucial role in shaping the Australian economy through its pursuit of national economic policy objectives. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Physical Security Manager to join our Workplace Department.
As the Physical Security Manager, you will provide specialised knowledge and expertise in physical security and emergency management to support project goals and ensure the safety and security of people, assets, information, and facilities. The role requires close collaboration with project teams, key stakeholders, and other internal and external experts to guide project decisions, assess risks, develop physical security measures, emergency response procedures, and ensure alignment with Bank and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer in-depth knowledge and insights in physical security and emergency response management to guide project decisions and strategies.- Assist in creating, reviewing and recommending physical security controls, procedures, and training manuals to manage the threats that pose a risk.- Assist in creating and reviewing emergency response procedures and manuals to ensure the safety of people.- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define physical security objectives, processes, and quality standards.- Ensure that physical security measures and emergency response procedures address the risk and meet Bank and industry standards.- Resolve physical security-related issues and provide technical guidance to the project team.- Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest changes to enhance physical security and emergency response outcomes.
Your background- Understanding of physical security standards, procedures and practices and emergency response arrangements.- Ability to analyse complex physical security problems and provide effective solutions.- Strong communication skills to explain security and emergency management concepts to non-experts and collaborate with various teams.- Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of security and emergency management measures.- Ability to provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the project team.- Tertiary qualification in Physical Security and/or Emergency Management.

You’ll be part of RBA’s Workplace Department, responsible for managing the Bank’s physical assets and ensuring workplace safety, efficiency, and availability.
