**Introduction**:
Regis Resources is an ASX publicly listed Perth based gold production and exploration company with a proven management team with a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations. It is a purely Australian gold miner with operations in Western Australia and New South Wales.
The mine site locations are in the WA Goldfields region with multiple mining operations (both open pit and underground) as well as a number of satellite pits. This is an opportunity to join a high performing operation, currently producing circa 400,000 oz. of gold per annum.
**Description**:
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Emergency Services Coordinator, to coordinate all site-based emergency response activities including training exercises and audits. Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, you will also assist with support and improvement of the emergency management system and lead, develop and train the Emergency Management team. This is a permanent full time site based role, working on a 8:6 FIFO roster.
About the Role
Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the site emergency management system in accordance with the regulatory requirements and industry standards;
Develop and oversee emergency response strategy including tactical plan in line with site strategy.
Facilitate and assist in investigations requiring emergency response support and assistance.
Develop and manage the operating budget for the emergency services functions to ensure the achievement of operational and strategic objectives in the most cost-effective manner.
Oversee the management of various emergency response contracts to ensure the provision of essential functions and equipment serviceability and participate in the provision of emergency preparedness training to Duketon operations incident and crisis management team members.
Maintain the annual emergency drill schedule ensuring that all regulatory requirements have been met and all outcomes from drills have been reported, with actions captured and monitored for completion;
Participate in audits required to ensure compliance; and
Coordinate, deliver and participate in the provision of emergency preparedness training to the Regis emergency response team including recruitment and development to facilitate our program.
**Skills and Experiences**:
About You
At least 5 years emergency services leadership experience, in a remote mining environment or similar;
Certificate IV Health Pre-Hospital Care (Ambulance);
Certificate III Mines Rescue;
Demonstrated experience with incident reporting & investigation (ICAM proficient);
Microsoft Office proficiency (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
Ability to coordinate & deliver Mines Rescue training; and
Report writing and data analysis skills.
