**ABOUT SCHOOL**
Grange Primary School, established in 1880, is a Reception to Year 6 school with approximately 694 students and has been serving the educational needs of children in the western suburbs of Adelaide for over 100 years. A government school, Grange is a vibrant, enjoyable and positive learning community. **ABOUT OSHC**
The Grange Out of School Hours Care Service (OSHC) is a well-established service provided by the school. We offer before and after-school care and vacation care for primary school-age children.
With children’s needs at its core, we provide a safe and stimulating environment. Children are provided with opportunities that challenge and encourage them to develop their potential within a caring and supportive environment. All children and their families are treated as equal and valued individuals.
**POSITIONS AVAILABLE**
We are looking for enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate educators who want to make a difference. We have exciting permanent and casual positions available in both before, after and vacation care. These are:
- **Team Leader** - 1 x permanent part-time position available, minimum 15 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
- **Qualified Educator** - 1 x permanent part-time position available, minimum 10 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
- **Casual Educator - **multiple opportunities available
Hours will be negotiated, depending on your availability and the needs of the service, Monday to Friday between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm, including split shifts.
The rate of pay is per the Children’s Services Award 2010, with classification and rate of pay depending on your qualification and experience.
**THE ROLE**
- Ensuring the safety of children
- Supporting the implementation and participation of children in programmed and spontaneous activities
- Assisting in creating a calm, positive, organised, stimulating, and safe learning environment
- Communicating with parents/caregivers in ways that build trusting relationships
- Assisting in managing the service routines in an efficient manner
- Working collaboratively with other staff to promote the school's values
- An ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships
- Excellent time management, organisational, and record management skills
- Flexibility and an ability to adapt and operate effectively in a changing environment
- Availability to work regular shifts is required and flexibility to work more hours across school holidays
**WHAT WE NEED**
- Diploma in Child Care/Certificate IV in Outside School Hours Care or equivalent qualification recognised as an approved qualification by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
- Applicants actively working towards any Early Childhood qualification may be considered.
- Knowledge of child development from 5-12 years.
- Knowledge of National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and legislative requirements.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate - HLTAID012 / HLTAID004 **or** willing to obtain
- A current South Australian Working With Child Check (WWCC)
- Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN)
- Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs for individual children and groups of children.
- Relevant work experience including practical experience in implementing the National Quality Framework.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to contribute to the Grange Primary School ethos
- Sound communication skills, including effective communication with other staff
- Ability to assist with developing and designing educational programs that encourage student engagement.
- Sound student behaviour management skills
