Site Services Operator

**The Role**

Our Morwell site is located about 150km east of Melbourne, manufacturing a large range of products in yoghurt and dairy desserts including brands such as Farmers Union, Dairy Farmers and Yoplait. Operating 24 hours a day, six days a week across 9 lines the site is highly automated and is the largest yoghurt facility in Australia.

We are looking for a site service operator to oversee the Morwell site energy centre and water treatment plant, including routine activities and maintenance.

The Bega Morwell facility requires a large amount of heating and cooling to run its production plant. The energy centre is an integral part of the manufacturing facility, supplying the site with all its energy needs.

**Responsibilities**
- A focus on safe work practices is required at all times and taking responsibility for reporting safety issues and reducing or removing identified safety hazards.
- Complete daily rostered duties including day to day cleaning tasks and daily check, record and sign off on required authorized log sheets and work sheets
- Be accountable for maintaining a consistently high standard of cleaning and hygiene to meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements, using street sweeper/hose/pressure washer to maintain the cleanliness of the energy centre and wastewater treatment plant.
- Ensure DAF plant, Boiler, Compressors and ammonia plant are running in good order

**About you**
- Good mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment; good computer literacy and communication skills
- Sound understanding of safety principles
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Accredited boiler training preferred
