**Job Description**:
**The role**

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager that has worked through similar projects in the past having developed and deployed fit for purpose procurement disciplines in a growing business. This would encompass the typical steps of developing and executing an RFx process with a wide range of suppliers, through to implementing standard P2P disciplines enabled by an appropriate system.

In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering exceptional procurement services by fostering strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders.

This is a full-time, 3-year project role, working a hybrid mix from our National Support Office in South Melbourne and home.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Assessing our non-labour costs to develop a comprehensive strategy to prioritise spend categories, while quantifying the benefits for both our company and suppliers.
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to understand their specific needs and define clear performance expectations for our suppliers.
- Implementing a competitive tendering (RFx) process that outlines the scope, technical requirements, and pricing structures.
- Leading the tendering process independently, providing transparent updates to our Operations and Management teams.
- The creation and maintenance of a preferred supplier list for our core sourcing categories.
- Negotiating commercial terms and establishing service agreements.
- Smoothly managing supplier transitions.
- Conducting regular reviews with our key suppliers to maintain high-quality service levels.
- Promoting a positive procurement culture to achieve strategic sourcing objectives.

**Additional responsibilities will include**:

- Creation and implementation of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) disciplines across all spend categories.
- Ensuring compliance with sustainability, social, ethical, and regulatory requirements are met.
- Identify and mitigate associated safety and risk factors.
- Develop and nurture strong collaborative relationships with our suppliers.
- Continuously refine and implement best practices within our technical infrastructure.***
- Have proven commercial experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of implementing P2P disciplines and processes.
- Have successfully developed and implemented procurement strategies.
- Be an experience leader in sourcing projects and transitions, collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
- Be proficient in procurement methodologies to drive value for suppliers, the business, and our clients.
- Have strong analytical skills and exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.
- Have well-developed interpersonal skills, capable of managing conflict.
- Be proactive, deadline-driven, and adept in multitasking effectively.
