**The Role**
The Assistant Director, Governance and Secretariat is a key member of a team that coordinates governance arrangements and manages key divisional and Enterprise level committee functions for the Infrastructure Division within Security and Estate Group.

You will be responsible for coordinating and collating the Groups input into key corporate publications. Your team will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Forward Work Program, agenda development and recording the outcomes of committee meetings. You will provide appropriate coordination and situational awareness of corporate management activities, providing assurance in relation to policy adherence, prioritisation and decision making.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of business governance and committee related activities for Infrastructure Division (ID)
- Implement ongoing improvements to IDs committee and governance processes consistent with policy and reform initiatives
- Oversight of the quality assurance of committee papers and briefing material.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Business Improvement and Governance within Estate Planning Branch in Infrastructure Division (ID), Security and Estate Group (SEG), is responsible for business governance and corporate functions across ID, including Information Management, the SEG SmartBuyer process, and support to Estate programs and projects.

The Governance and Secretariat team is responsible for coordinating divisional input for corporate and statutory reporting such as the Budget Statements, Corporate Plan, and Annual Report, together with performance reporting, audit and coordination tasks; and managing secretariat functions for the Estate and Infrastructure Gate Review committee, including the coordination of all ID content for other Group and Enterprise Committees. The team works closely with the Office of the First Assistant Secretary - Infrastructure, and the Office of the Deputy Secretary, Security and Estate Group.

- A well developed understanding of Government approval and authority processes, and how these align to guidance issued from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Department of Finance
- A well developed understanding of reporting requirements for Commonwealth Corporate Entities under the PGPA Act
- Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform and support decision making
- Confident and professional when engaging with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels of seniority
- Willing to investigate non-traditional ways of doing business
- Trustworthy, transparent and possess the highest levels of integrity
