Join APM at Nowra as a Youth Support Worker within the Transition to Work program. You will be directly helping our participants who are school leaving age to develop their skills to find long term employment and become financially independent.

Am I suited to being a TTW Youth Support Worker with APM’s Nowra office?

We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and helping others. Perhaps you have experience in Employment Services, Community services, Retail, Travel, Banking or Hospitality - jobs that rely on great service.

You may even have experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations, and communities as well as well-developed communication skills, empathy, and cultural competence.

**The Role**:
This is a flexible part time role working 3 days a week. Ideally Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays 8:30am to 5:00pm but with some room for change. This position can also has the potential to develop into a full time hours.

APM has secured new business with the Transition to Work contract and as a Youth Support Worker, you will be based in our Nowra office. You will be building relationships with community organisations to attract new participant referrals, assessing the needs of the participants, identifying barriers to employment and providing solutions focussed approaches to support young people to achieve ongoing education and/or employment.

You won’t be desk bound in this role, you need to love networking as you will initially focus on building relationships with local schools, career advisors and other community organisations. Then your focus will turn to servicing your clients
