**What will your typical week look like?**
- Provide people leadership to your function, managing a small team
- Enhance the end to end process of performance management to align to a high performance culture including approach, cycle, tools/resources
- In collaboration with leadership and learning, enhance the capability of employees and leaders to execute an approach to managing performance that enhances business output and the employee/manager experience
- Develop functional or operational People policies and help develop policy frameworks for area of responsibility or department, as well as creating underlying procedures and monitoring implementation
- Ensure that business activities and individuals within a significant area of responsibility adhere to the organisation's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions; to safeguard the environment, protect the wellbeing of individuals and minimize business risk
- Take responsibility for providing specific elements of the organisation's legal service with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Manage relationships with internal clients and act as a business partner to them building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust
- Establish metrics and reporting to determine the effectiveness and compliance with performance related activities
- Managing a portfolio of projects

**Let’s talk about you**

To be successful, you will demonstrate the following experience and attributes:

- Relevant university qualification such as Master’s Degree, etc.
- ER experience (AUS essential; NZ willingness to learn)
- Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames
- Experience in Performance Management and aligning to business objectives
- Experience in partnering with the business in a goal setting program
- Experience of interpreting strategy and policy to set and deliver
- A background in managing complex cases in conjunction with Business Leaders
- Experience in providing sound and legal advice on Employee and Industrial Relations laws
- Extensive experience in supporting a business on management of key People Risk and Compliance
- Demonstrate strong commercial knowledge of business issues and market trends, as well as deep and extensive expertise in Industrial Relations and Health and Safety in a professional service environment.
