**About the Company**:
WHSmith is an historic, much loved international retailer that operates stores in an array of fast paced, dynamic environments including airports, train stations, hospitals, universities, and shopping centres. We are a retailer focusing on news, books and convenience, and are a renowned, competitive leader in the travel market worldwide.

**Scope of Position**:
The successful applicant will be a modest leader, have a well developed sense of initiative and be decisive. They will be creative, committed, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to different environments.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Nurturing a 'Customer first' culture by encouraging the team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Managing both front and back of house operations and reporting
- Overseeing and actioning the stock function across multiple sites at the airport
- Supporting the training and development of the team
- Driving sales strategies and key performance indicators

**Skills & Experience**:

- At least 2 year's management experience within a busy retail operation
- Exposure to back office functions, such as stock and labour costs
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- The ability to achieve targets and KPIs
- Flexibility with work hours and willingness to work weekends/public holidays when needed
