The IT Support Technician is responsible for outstanding customer support, assisting people with their everyday technical problems. You will also get a chance to learn about corporate systems and assist the engineers in highly technical projects. The role serves as a technical expert in the end user compute arena. You will be able to drive change to technical solutions in order to provide a high level of service to the end user. The role is a part-time position based in our Wollongong office and reports to the Head of IT in Sydney.

**What your day looks like**:

- Monitor the Help Desk queue and manage IT tickets.
- Assist employees with technical IT issues with Laptops, Phones etc.
- Build and deploy new laptops and assist new starters.
- Identify and drive improvement to end-user systems.
- Work closely with other IT team members and third-party suppliers.
- Ensure all Video conferencing and meeting rooms are functioning.
- Assist with other operational activities.

**What skills will you need**:

- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline.
- Ability to troubleshoot end-user IT issues on MacOS and Windows.
- IT experience as an IT technician an advantageExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of MS Office, o365, Domains, AD, Anti-Malware, Intune, phones, printers, and other end-user technologies.
- Understanding of Linux, Jira, Confluence, AWS, Firewalls, OpenVPN, DHCP, Proxies and Network technology’s an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills.
- Friendly and Proactive attitude, Team Player Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple concurrent tasks Attention to detail and able to follow procedures.
- A keen sense of curiosity and passion and a desire to learn about current IT hardware and software trends.
