We are seeking an experienced, hands on Finance Operations Lead with proven people management skills to lead the finance operations team.

With a focus on leading a small team that incorporates the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and banking functions, your role will concentrate on process improvements and automations to enhance capacity and improve capability. You will interact and partner with internal clients and strive to improve the client experience in the various interactions they have with the team.

Your role is key in supporting our objective to enable services to continue by ensuring we perform the core accounting duties in the most efficient manner while maintaining appropriate controls and governance around processes.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, the Finance Operations Lead is responsible for:

- Working with the AP and AR team to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance capacity and improve capability.
- Embedding a service delivery model to ensure a high standard of customer service is met by effectively managing internal customer requests via service desk and external client requests.
- Assist operations team in day-to-day duties of Accounts Payable and Receivable in full compliance with business controls and internal requirements.
- Work with the IT enterprise solutions team and the systems accountant to facilitate the smooth integration of changes to the core insurance system with the accounting system.
- Prepare and submit reconciliations and periodic reports in a timely and efficient manner. Develop new reports on key operational indicators.
- Mentor, coach and develop the operations team managing work allocation, problem resolution, performance evaluation and building of an effective team dynamic.

You will be able to demonstrate previous experience leading the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, and be experienced in redesigning and implementing process improvements.
