**About Us**
Greg Inglis’ Goanna Academy is the first First Nations owned mental health social enterprise in Australia. The Supply Nation accredited business was founded in 2020 and is committed to reducing the stigma associated with mental health by building social capacity through education programs, story sharing and community engagement.
Our programs are endorsed by headspace, the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, underpinned by best in class mental health literacy, and focus on preventative measures, building social capacity and encouraging help seeking behaviours in higher risk groups such as youth, regional communities and First Nations people.
**The Role**
- A Goanna Academy Facilitator delivers preventative mental health programs to communities across Australia and supports program administration. Through excellence in group facilitation, building rapport, attention to detail and communication skills, you will be responsible for working across key programs with NSW Education, NGO’s, Local Government, and State Health organisations, Facilitating Goanna Academy programs at an exceptional standard._
- The role supports the day-to-day operations of the Academy through program facilitation, administration support and relationship management. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and be part of a small but well connected and fast growing team._
**Key accountabilities**
- Program facilitation of Goanna Academies Mind ED program to students grades 5 to 12.
- Undertaking program facilitation and administrative tasks for Goanna Academy across Education, Community & Workplace programs.
- Supporting program delivery through assisting with engagement activities, meetings & developing and adhering to program timelines.
- Assist with the development, preparation, collation and coordination of program materials
- Maintain records, and assist in collating and analysing data, preparing reports for evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Work with Goanna Academy team to ensure quality delivery of programs
- Engage with Government agencies and community organisations.
- Assist in the management of relationships with internal and external business units and stakeholders.

You will be a high energy and experienced group facilitator and educator, who understands the issues facing young people from metropolitan, regional and remote areas. You will be an excellent organiser and communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively with partners and your team to deliver the curriculum to a high standard. You have a commitment to social justice and the mental health of our children, youth and communities.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in program facilitation across education and community sectors including the ability to work across age groups and cohorts to deliver engaging and inspiring workshops.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional approach to liaising with corporate partners, sponsors, suppliers and government agencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional time management skills and an ability to work under pressure.
- Common sense approach, maturity, reliability and enthusiasm.
- Good analytical skills, including a growth mindset and an ability to initiate continuous improvement.
- Willingness to learn, grow and develop new skills as part of a growing organisation
- Interest in, and knowledge of the Mental Health Sector within Australia including current trends and the changing landscape.
