Our client is seeking an experienced Communications Advisor on a temporary basis for 12-months.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to work on a significant project providing strategic communication services to staff for community engagement, media relations, issues management, public affairs and stakeholder relationship management and advise, develop and implement communication strategies and procedures to ensure effective communication outcomes.

In addition to this, your main accountabilities will be to:

- Coordinate community engagement and the development and implementation of communication strategies
- Produce a range of appropriate communication tools and materials tailored to different audiences.
- Assist the project team in providing communication advice and support to executive management and other managers
- Develop, plan, and manage key communication activities
- Provide training, advice and support to staff and consultants to enhance communication skills
- Develop and implement communication strategies, activities, procedures, and policies which assist the project team to achieve its strategic objectives.

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need to bring:

- A current Class ‘C’ Drivers Licence
- Qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing highly desirable
- Understanding of Infrastructure Sustainability Council framework and how it applies to infrastructure projects
- Experience in a strategic communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, will also be highly regarded.
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination
