**About the Role**

The Trainer / Assessor ensures the successful delivery of nationally endorsed Training Packages/accredited courses and/or customised industry courses. This includes training in the classroom and/or assessing trainees in their workplace, and preparing appropriate resources and classes based on Training Packages. In collaboration with the Program Manager pursue opportunities for growth and development of education and training provision.

**Other key duties will include**:

- Deliver and/or assess nationally endorsed training packages, accredited courses and customised industry courses.
- Assess and address the varied needs of each student, including the provision of training, which caters for individual differences in prior learning, academic abilities and learning styles.
- Attend student placements to establish and monitor student progress at agreed intervals and as necessary.
- Develop best practice models for delivery of quality training
- Undertake training responsibilities, which meet the requirements of nationally endorsed Training Packages and accredited courses.
- Provide detailed unit/module session plans, assessment guidelines and tools for students.
- Liaise with Coordinator and admin to ensure funding contract requirements are adhered to regarding due dates of student records of participation and assessment outcomes
- Maintain strong links with other internal staff, ensuring all activity is complementary and utilises the existing knowledge, expertise, resources and industry/business links within our organisation.

**About You**
- You hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A and TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B Or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult learning
- Minimum 3 years current industry experience in relevant vocational industry, including demonstrated experience as a First Aid Trainer
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring and reporting VET Quality Framework compliance issues.
- A strong focus and commitment to quality, compliance, and reporting requirements
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Effective time management skills with a demonstrated ability in project management
- Microsoft Office skill

**Additional requirements**:

- A current **Working with Children Check/Blue** Card or the willingness to gain one prior to successful commencement
- A current and valid **Driver’s Licence**:

- Additionally, in line with the direction from the State Government, all authorised workers defined under the Queensland Public Health Order are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Community Solutions Group also requires all new employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
