Background
The APGRA is the professional association for consulting and in-house government relations practitioners around Australia. Our Code of Conduct regulates the behaviour of our members and promotes high ethical standards within the government relations profession.
The APGRA was established in 2014 by a number of longstanding public affairs consulting firms and senior practitioners to promote ethical standards, greater transparency, and a binding code of conduct applicable to members conducting government relations activity.
Membership of the APGRA is open to practitioners across all categories - including consultants, in-house practitioners at corporations and peak industry groups - provided they are able to satisfy and commit to the Code of Conduct and APGRA Membership Rules.
The APGRA is a member-based organisation overseen by an elected Management Committee.

The role
The role can be based anywhere in Australia and involves the provision of support to the APGRA management committee and members.

This is a part-time role (8 hours per week).
Key responsibilities
- Assist the management committee to coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and other related requirements.
- Contribute to the development of digital marketing content, including e-newsletters, infographics, LinkedIn graphics and other marketing collateral.
- Attendance at monthly management committee meetings and other relevant meetings.
- Working with the APGRA”s finance officer and the management committee (comprised of representatives from the membership) to keep members informed of the organisation's activities.
- Occasional minor administrative duties in collaboration with colleagues

**Skills**:

- Exceptional people skills, organisation and administration skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with digital platforms such as LinkedIn, Wordpress, MailChimp and EventBrite. (preferable but not essential)
- Previous experience in and/or knowledge of political/government environment (preferable but not essential)

To Note
- This role is initially a 12 month fixed term contract of 8 hours per week, and can be based anywhere in Australia.
