Goodstart Early Learning Bentleigh East is in a picturesque neighborhood, close to local schools, shops, main roads and community facilities. We are also close to public transport links, making the daily drop-off and pick-up less stressful. We are focused on collaborating with families to create a supportive environment for each child in our care and each day we spend time talking with families and updating them on their child’s day. We have a strong connection with our local community with regular visits from the local Dentist and Maternal Child Health Nurse. We hold monthly information sessions, where specialists such as Occupational Therapists and Psychologists attend.

Your Impact

As a Trainee Educator at Goodstart Bentleigh East, South Road, you will be dedicated to giving children the best possible start to their school journey. With the support of your Centre Leadership Team, Teachers, and Educators, you will be empowered to forge your career whilst working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.

You will achieve this by

Maintaining a safe environment for children, families and team members

Complying with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart Policies, Procedures and Requirements

Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children and families

Actively contributing to the education program in the room and the centre team

Supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement

Contributing to a professional and positive work culture

To be eligible for a Traineeship you are not able to hold a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school in the last 7 years. Applicants who have completed a school-based certificate other than in childcare will still be eligible.

In addition, you must have

A permanent right to work in Australia

Strong communication skills

Good time management and organisational skills

Ability to work well individually and as part of a team

Enthusiasm and a positive attitude

Flexible availability

Interest in early years education

Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)

**Proof of immunisation against**:
COVID-19 - three doses

Measles, Mumps and Rubella

Whooping Cough (Pertussis)
